Urgent Call for Prayer!

My brothers and sisters in Christ, please stop what you are doing right now and bow your head in supplication to the Lord, asking Him to intercede in the plight of our fellow believer Hua Huiqi. Mr. Huiqi is on the run in Beijing at this moment from the Chinese Secret Police. This report from fellow blogger Lost Budgie explains:
Seven thugs from the Chinese Secret Police raided a home in Beijing early this morning - searching for Mr. Hua Huiqi.

His crimes? Being a Christian, and not keeping his mouth shut about the Chinese Secret Police kidnapping of Sun Xiaodi, a Christian lady and house church member who disappeared in April of this year.

You can also read more information as reported by the China Aid Association.

UPDATE: (10:42 AM)
According to an updated report from China Aid, via the Christian Wire Service,
[A]fter 7 hours intensive interrogation, Mr. Hua Huiqi was released from detention. Hua was handcuffed throughout the whole seven hours and he was kicked and beaten constantly. According to Hua who spoke to Rev. Bob Fu after his release, the interrogators repeatedly slapped his face every time before he answered a question. Hua was accused providing aid to Christians who go to Beijing for being persecuted by local authorities. He was arrested by about 7-8 self claimed police from Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau who rushed into Hua's home at about 4pm in the afternoon.

Mr. Hua told Rev. Bob Fu, president of CAA, "though I was beaten by the interrogators repeatedly, I told them I love and pray for them instead of hating them. They told me I am a strange man."

A strange man, indeed. Please continue to pray for Mr. Huiqi and the many other Christians living in Communist China.
