The Daily Birthdays - October 15
When I was growing up, Pops always challenged us to "learn something new every day, and you will never stop growing." I pass that challenge on to you, along with this birthday list. Some are just for fun, some are intriguing, and some are actually worth learning about. Find someone you know little or nothing about, follow the link, and learn something new today!
As always, give me a shout in the comments section if you know of someone who should be added (for next year).
- 1844 – Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche – philosopher
- 1881 – P. G. Wodehouse – writer

- 1942 – Penny Marshall – actress, director

As always, give me a shout in the comments section if you know of someone who should be added (for next year).

What about Tito Jackson of the Jackson-5? I'm pretty sure his birthday is today.
Songbird!! I just found your new site. What happened at the old place? And where are the rest of the gang? Looks like nobody's been spouting off much lately. Anyway, I wanted to say hi now that I found you again. Stay put this time, or at least give us a little warning before you decide to move again!
Hey, Daffyd, welcome back! I'm glad you found us again!
Long story with the old site, but the gist of it is that the company I work for was very recently bought out. One of the immediate changes implemented (and strictly enforced) was that all personal files and data must be removed from the office computer systems (including local hard drives). Makes sense from a business standpoint. But since the old blog had always been hosted (with permission, of course) on the company site, that got removed immediately and with basically no warning. It took me a couple of weeks to find and figure out Blogspot to use as the new host.
Good news is, it's still hosted free. Bad news is, we lost most of our readers. And other than personal (local) friends and family members, I don't know how to contact any of the old readership. If you have contact with anyone, please pass along the new address!
Leslie, thanks for the input. I'll look it up and consider adding it to the list for next year. Thanks for reading! :->
